Sarah Wilson & World’s Greatest Shave on 3BA

On Saturday 7th March, 2015 Sarah Wilson, our Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator joined Trevor Booth on “Your Property’ on 3BA FM 102.3 to talk about her role at Ray White Ballarat and more particularly her involvement in the World’s Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation .

Everyday thirty one Australians will get news that they have blood cancer. On the 14th March, 2015 Sarah with friends Kimberlee and Ben Barker will participate in the World’s Greatest Shave. Their team called the “Brave Barkers” have set a fundraising goal of $3,200.

They have already held a couple of small fundraisers with the aid of friends including a goodbye hair party and a morning tea with Sarah’s colleagues at Ray White Ballarat which raised $238.70 including a donation of $150 from the directors.

The Brave Barkers main fundraiser is a Trivia night to be held this Wednesday 11th March at Sebastopol Bowls Club. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start and MC for the night will be Ray Borner, Australian Olympian and owner of Ballarat Salt Rooms. So far they have received donations from around 20 businesses including CB Fitness, Auto Barn, Australia Post Office (Wendouree and Ballarat), Hairhouse Warehouse, Morrow & McKenzie, Aussie Disposals Geelong and Ishka just to name a few.

The trio have so far raised just over $2,700 and are creeping closer to their goal everyday.

On Saturday 14th March, 2015 the Brave Barkers will hold their shave event from 10-2pm at CB Fitness Carpark, shed 2/3 Caravan Street, Wendouree. Come and join the fun with a bbq and a 12pm Blast Class fundraiser.
