Senior Executive Commercial

Jock is the Senior Executive Commercial, for Ray White Ballarat. He has been transacting property deals in the commercial real estate agency arena for over 35 years, principally on the eastern seaboard working out of Melbourne and primarily Sydney.

Jock’s experience incorporates landlord agency and project marketing within the commercial, industrial and retail sales and leasing sectors plus corporate real estate which specialises in occupier services required by an owner and/ or tenant clientele alike.

He endeavours to focus on creating value for his clients utilising his extensive market experience, contacts and property knowledge, investigating property opportunities which ultimately leads to creating transactional leasing and sales deals, managing rent review negotiations, property management platform functionality  and advice on general property strategy and direction on behalf of clients in the various commercial property market sectors.

With regard to the occupiers of space, he works hand in glove with the occupier reviewing their business plan and in essence, his job is to create savings in terms of costs, efficiencies in the use of space and streamlining the use of their property within the businesses property portfolio, which is seen as a core component of the business by the business, whether it be in the commercial, industrial and/ or retail property sectors. 

Jock’s experience in the property development process provides an in depth understanding of the project development, building design and its facilities and services, plus the different marketing techniques involved in taking the development property to the particular sales or leasing market place for which it is designed and intended.

In conducting, coordinating and strategising of the lease and sales process it starts with reviewing the client’s goals, then commencing with the search, conducting and concluding negotiations directly with tenants and CRE or tenant representatives, right through to the negotiation of the legal documentation and it’s signature.

Another area where his knowledge and experience could be useful, is in undertaking specific site acquisitions on behalf of organisations requiring property to house their business, such as retail chains like H&M, fast food chains, education organisations from pre-school up to Universities, local councils, plus many more. They appreciate the art of developing the appropriate property strategy and the opportunity to have a skilled negotiator to work with and be able to advise, strategize, read and understand lease and sales documentation within the overall process to secure the right premises or property that will suit and achieve the aims of the clients business.

  • Former member of the Australian Property Institute
  • 27 year NSW Real Estate Agent Licence Holder.
  • Representative of the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales,
  • AVLE – Australian Institute of Valuers and Land Economists,
  • Associate to the Society of Land Economists
  • Auctioneers Certificate Course at the University of Western Sydney, Hawksbury
