Ray White Assists With Golf Day Charity Auction

The United Way Ballarat Golf Classic was held on Friday 19th October, 2012 at the Ballarat Golf Club.

Held annually, the golf day is United Way’s major fundraiser with funds raised used to distribute resources back to the community in the areas identified as most in need.

Special guest on the day was AFL legend and former Collingwood player Peter Daicos. Peter spoke to the golfers over brunch before they headed off onto the course.

Ray White Ballarat Director Phillip Lee was MC and auctioneer for the day and has been assisting United Way Ballarat at their fundraising events for over 10 years.

Amongst the items auctioned by Phillip on the day included a round of golf with Peter Daicos which sold for $500, a Collingwood jumper signed by Peter which sold for $420 and many other items donated by local businesses.

The day was fully catered for, commencing mid-morning with brunch and the auction in the clubhouse followed by an afternoon of golf, finishing at the clubhouse with prize presentations and refreshments late in the afternoon.

The sunny weather ensured the golfers had an enjoyable day and the winning team was Bartlett Blinds with United Forklifts runners up.  The media trophy was won by WIN Television and the best dressed team went to the all female team from People@Work.
