Ray White Ballarat Sales Team Help Farmers

Agents at Ray White’s Ballarat office have come together to help raise $7,700 for the Drought Angels charity following their ‘Sale for a Bale’ drive.

Residential, rural and commercial sales consultants have all made donations from the commission of each sale over a three-month fundraising campaign.

Ray White Ballarat Residential Sales Consultant Paul McGourlay said it was very important to keep the connection between the leading real estate group and Australian farmers.

“The reason it’s so important for us to have this link to the droughts across Australia is because farmers are such an integral part of this country,” Mr McGourlay said.

“Without them, we wouldn’t have the lovely fresh produce we have in our supermarkets today and when we’re in a position to help people in hard times, that’s exactly what we should do.

“It’s great our whole team pulled together for such an important cause.”

Ray White Rural and Livestock Chairman Paul White said he wanted to make sure the group gave something back to rural Australia.

“In the last year in particular, farmers across the country have been doing it particularly hard, so it’s only right we do what we can to help support them,” Mr White said.

“After a rainfall or two, people seem to forget the strife they’re in and move on, so it’s up to us to continue to help them in any way we can.

“It’s fantastic to see the generosity of the Ray White Ballarat team and no doubt the money will go towards a great cause like extra bales for our hard-working farmers.”
