Ray White Shines On The Block Finale With 2 Million Australians Watching

By Georgina Shanahan

Congratulations to The Block All Stars contestants Josh and Jenna on their successful renovation and sale of 8 Tasman Street in Bondi. The final episode of Channel Nine’s popular series aired last night with 2 million Australians tuning it to watch the action.

The success is shared by Ray White Maroubra’s Cameron Airlie, who was their chosen agent and did a fantastic job of guiding Josh and Jenna through the sales process and helping them get the best price. Our amazing auctioneer Peter Matthews, from Ray White Lower North Shore, also played a massive role in securing the couple such a good price at the auction.

Brian White said Josh and Jenna’s achievement, selling $275,000 above the reserve price, was well earned.

“Josh and Jenna deserve their success. By creating a product that really appealed to the market, their work was reflected by the depth of bidding” Mr White said.

“They showed skill in considering what was going to appeal to new owners rather than focusing on what they themselves wanted. This skill converted a lot of interested parties into genuine bidders.”

Chosen agent Cameron Airlie of Ray White Maroubra says it’s been an unbelievable experience being the agent for Josh and Jenna.

“They were both so great to deal with as contestants and renovators and we wish them every success with their future endeavors,” Mr Airlie said.

“We kept buyers extremely well versed at all times and that’s a key reason we had 10 registered bidders on the night.”

Josh and Jenna are over the moon with the results.

“We can’t thank Cameron (Airlie, the agent), Peter (Matthews, the auctioneer) and Ray White enough! We’re just so thrilled!,” Josh Densten said.

“Going into the auction we were fully at ease. We had full confidence in Cameron and how he had conducted the whole buyer process. Of course we had the pre-auction jitters, as everyone does.”

“Cameron was fantastic to work with and was always honest and spot on with his comments. Being back in Melbourne during the marketing of the property we decided to fly to Sydney to watch Cameron conduct a private open for inspection. As soon as we saw Cameron talking to our buyers we were completely satisfied we had made the right decision with our agent.”

“We’re just stoked in achieving $100k over the median house price. We know it’s a semi and we know its only two bedrooms and it sold for well over what we thought!”

“We can’t believe there was only a $20k difference between a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home,” he said.
