REIV Update Ballarat Members

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) hit the road recently across regional Victoria to keep members updated on legislation changes and the impacts on agents businesses.

Called REIV Connect, the session was held at the Ballarat Golf Club and was attended by agents from Ballarat, Maryborough, Ararat and other regional areas.

REIV President Robyn Waters and REIV CEO Gil King explored the REIV’s current policy platform and key industry issues with members able to raise local issues and give feedback.

Leah Calnan, REIV Senior Vice President outlined the implications of the proposed changes to the Residential Tenancies Act and gave tips on what Property Managers can do to prepare landlords and their agencies for the upcoming changes.

Following lunch Jim Lourandos, REIV Information Officer revisited key points of price quoting legislation with a refresher on the price quoting process, statement of information requirements and best agency practice.
