Slight Increase To Ballarat Vacancy Rates During August

The Ballarat residential vacancy rate has seen a slight increase during August to 1.6%, up from 1.5% in June according to the latest figures released by the Real Estate Institute of Victoria.

Median rent for houses in Ballarat has dropped slightly during August to $333 per week, while median rent for units has seen a notable increase to $275 per week up from $255.

Vacancy rates for regional Victoria saw another increase to 1.5%, however Metro Melbourne dropped slightly to 2.1%.

The median rents for Metro Melbourne have remained the same as the previous month, sitting at $450 per week for houses and $430 per week for units.

Regional Victoria median rents have seen some change, with houses dropping slightly to $340 per week, and units rising to $280 per week.
