The Christmas Spirit Shines

By Sarah Wilson

The Christmas Spirit was very evident this week following a devastating flood at the shop of one of our newer CBD retailers. Proprietor of Lola & May Ballarat in Sturt Street, Sarah Kirby was preparing for the busiest time of the shopping year when she was confronted with a flooded shop last week putting her business out of action.

Tracey Holmes from our Commercial Division picked up the news on facebook and within hours and through the generosity of the owners of the Block Arcade had arranged temporary accommodation so that Sarah could continue trading through Christmas. Well done Tracey and all the best to Sarah, it’s great to see a positive outcome and we hope you sell heaps of stock!
