WorldSkills Australia

By Georgina Shanahan

Congratulations to Ray White Ballarat’s Kayleigh Eastick who won a Gold medal for Business Services at the recent WorldSkills Australia Ballarat/Wimmera region awards.

WorldSkills Australia is a national program of approximately 500 Regional Competitions operating across 30 WorldSkills Australia Regions providing young people, working in a trade or skill, with the opportunity to showcase their passion and talent

The awards were held at Ballarat Lodge with a large crowd in attendance to witness who won the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals across 16 categories. Kayleigh was supported on the night by Ray White Ballarat Director Phillip Lee, sales administrator Sarah Wilson and Kayleigh’s parents. Mr Lee said the award was great recognition for the dedication and commitment that Kayleigh shows towards her work.

Kayleigh commenced as a trainee with Ray White Ballarat in May 2012 and has completed a Certificate III in Business Services. Kayleigh was encouraged to participate in WorldSkills by training organisation BGT and spent a full day being judged.

Kayleigh is now eligible to compete at the 2014 WorldSkills Australia National Competition in Perth, where they will test her skills against Australia’s best trainees and apprentices within their specialised skill areas over three exciting days of competition.
