First Ballarat Auction Streamed Live On Facebook

Ray White Ballarat created another first in Ballarat on Saturday 16th July, 2016 by streaming the auction of 8 Duke Street, Newington live to an online audience via Facebook Live.

With Director Phillip Lee behind the camera auctioneer Trevor Booth commenced the auction in front of a large crowd with a vendor bid of $290,000 and shortly after five bidders joined the bidding to push the price well above the $400,000 reserve with the property selling for $458,500.

Located very close to St Patrick’s College, Ballarat & Clarendon College, shops and cafes and just a short stroll to Lake Wendouree over 90 people inspected the property during the four week marketing campaign.

Auctioneer Trevor Booth said that the result demonstrated the strong demand being experienced for central Ballarat properties and proved that auction was the best way to sell.

The property was marketed by Team Munro (Will Munro & Jesse Manton) over four weeks with the property being open for inspection every weekend.
