Ash Grunwald Appearing At Ballarat Beer Festival

Something’s brewing in Ballarat. The fourth annual Ballarat Beer Festival is back, with a new date for 2015. Victoria’s original and favourite craft beer festival will be held over the Australia Day long weekend. Thousands of locals and out-of-towners are expected to descend upon the city once again to celebrate liquid gold on Saturday 24th January 2015, at the City Oval, Ballarat.

The Festival team is also excited to announce performing on the day will be one of Australia’s best blues musicians Ash Grunwald.  Ash Grunwuld has carved a niche out of being one of the most exciting performers on the live circuit with his special blend of exhilarating and hypnotic blues sounds. For just one man and a guitar he certainly has a big sound that will stop you in your tracks. Particularly loved by Australian festival goers, he’s also made some big waves overseas. Ash has been delivering his unique blend of roots, beats and groove for over a decade.

Other artists include Way of the Eagle, The Delta Riggs, Buddha In a Chocolate Box, Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk, Timberwolf and Demi Louise from Ballarat.

Simon Coghlan, one of the Festival founders, said “We are very proud and excited to bring you another edition of the Ballarat Beer Festival.

“This year we have finessed the event to include more interesting food, an amazing line up of talented bands and we believe it’s more appealing than ever before.”

Set in the picturesque township of Ballarat (110 kilometres from Melbourne), the Ballarat Beer Festival has become one of the town’s rising stars on the event scene and will yet again appeal to beer connoisseurs, and festival lovers alike.

The day consists of a gathering of expert brewers displaying their wares, an exciting new line up of gourmet food — including the return of local favourite Forges Pizzeria, education sessions run by beer experts imparting their well honed knowledge, a Kids Zone with activities galore, plus some of Australia’s finest bands performing on the main stage. The family friendly event kicks off at 11am and concludes at 8pm. That’s nine hours of quality entertainment. In addition to the beer, there will be beverages to suit all palates.

The 2015 Ballarat Beer Festival is bound to be another fabulous fun day out. With this specially handcrafted event offering world class brews, ciders, wines and gourmet food along with an eclectic entertainment line-up and family built activities, there’s something for everyone.

Music lovers and beer enthusiasts are encouraged to book early for the 2015 Ballarat Beer Festival, given the popularity of the first three years of the event. Tickets (and drink tokens) available via Ticketek www.ticketek.com.au or 132 849, or Ticketek outlets.
