Vacancy Rates Stay Low In May

The Ballarat residential rental vacancy rate in May 2019 increased slightly to 1.1% according to figures released by the Real Estate Institute of Victoria.

The May median rent for houses in Ballarat remained the same as last month at $330pw and units/townhouses slightly increased again to $270pw.

The vacancy rate for metro Melbourne remained the same at 1.9 per cent, regional Victoria also remained the same at 1.2 per cent.

Median rent for metro Melbourne houses has once again stayed the same at $450pw and units at $430pw. Regional Victoria experienced a decrease with houses at $330pw and units also decreasing to $270pw.
